Susan Kenney, Painter

I made a painting a day in 2009, 2014, 2019 and this year 2024. This year I will write a little about my process and improve my websites. Thank you reader for your interest in my work.

I had been painting from my car for a couple of years when the corona virus pandemic happened it was a somewhat smooth transition. Using a small hinged box that holds my pallet and extra boards, I sit in the front passengers seat and rest the top of a hinged box against the dashboard, the pallet rests in the bottom portion, in my lap. In the console between the front seats is a plastic bucket -(recycled 35.3 oz CoffeeMate) to hold water for brush cleaning. The paint tubes are in 4 plastic bags divided by color in a cleaning tote on the drivers seat. In the trunk, I keep the box, paints, paper towels and a dark trash bag - (to block the light when needed). The trash bag is sometimes held by my car window or by the rear view mirror. I like to park where direct light is not a problem.

It is also good to be near a clean, safe public bathroom.
